The Edmonds Evergreen Pathfinder Club is open to all children in grades 5-10 (9th-12th grade for Teen Leadership Training). Our program offers action, adventure, challenge and group activities that produce team spirit and loyalty to the church. We accept everyone, regardless of religion, race, or gender. We are a Christian club with a strong focus on Biblical principles, but children do not have to be baptized Christians or Seventh-day Adventists to join.
Children learn best by example; the whole Pathfinder philosophy is built on this idea. It is important, then, that spiritually committed, dedicated leaders of high principles be chosen to work with the Pathfinders. Our volunteer staff love children and are excited to teach life skills and have fun along the way. Children are placed into units of 4-8 kids around the same age led by a unit counselor. Their counselor will guide them through curriculum designed to teach safety and survival skills, introduce lifelong hobbies, make friends, serve the community, and develop a personalized relationship with God. We want our members to know that they are loved and that we look forward to having them around. That's one reason we have such a full calendar. We want them to know that we are going to look out for them; we are ready to listen to them, to care for them, and to guide them.
The Pathfinder program includes Bible study, service activities, nature study, community outreach, hiking, camping, exploring, wilderness skills, art, homemaking skills, healthy living, marching, uniforms, and special ceremonies. We want to invite children and teens to come enjoy the Bible and explore God's world together!
